Ubuntu Install - Error invalid arch-independent ELF magic

sudo fdisk -lu /dev/sda
sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt (if /dev/sda1 is the boot partition)
sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt           /dev/sda
sudo reboot
